Less than two months before Shad 2019, 500 of Canada’s top young minds travelled to this year’s Canada-Wide Science Fair in Fredericton—their suitcases packed tight with creative STEAM solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems.

Shad welcomes FIRST Robotics Canada (FRC) students, Tasnia Rahman and Hunter McCullagh, with $5,700 scholarships to attend Shad2019. These students are go-getters on and off the FRC-field, and dream of using their STEAM-knowledge as force for good by making a lasting impact on the world.

February 28, 2019 – Timmins Today Every summer, 1,000 students from across Canada spend 27-days at a Canadian university and engage in lectures, workshops, labs and hands-on learning. Shad is a premier live-in summer STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) and entrepreneurship program.

Four Manitoba students earn Loran scholarships. Four Manitoba students have just been selected as Loran Scholars – among 35 recipients of Canada’s most comprehensive undergraduate scholarship for character, service and leadership, it was announced Friday.
