Entrance Scholarship for Black Student Recipients

Congratulations to the recipients of the Shad Entrance Scholarships for Black Students. 

Shad is committed to identifying young leaders who embody the willingness to go the mile for their community in an impactful way, and for overall excellence. These students inspire those around them through their changemaker capabilities and will continue to have a positive impact as they use their passion for STEAM to drive change. 

We had a chance to catch up with these future leaders to hear what they are looking forward to this summer and beyond. Ife sees a future in medicine. Mary can’t wait to solve important issues such as food insecurity and climate change.  Rihanat plans to choose a career that will blend her love of sports and medicine. Margaret is excited to pursue a career that utilizes her passion for the French language. Marion can’t wait to explore new topics that might help in her goal of becoming a neurosurgeon. Chi envisions a career in software engineering to contribute positively to society. Jeremiah hopes to inspire the next generation of diverse tech leaders. Zammie aspires to own a socially driven startup and to become a published author. Titus is passionate about business and law. Fayhaa aspires to share her voice about global issues on the public stage.
