Shad welcomes high school students in Grades 10 and 11 (Secondary IV and V in Québec) who are curious about the world and eager to take on new challenges. We’re looking for students who are driven, creative, and community-minded. If you ask big questions, embrace diverse perspectives, and want to make a difference in your community, you already have what it takes to become a Shad.

With a limited number of spots available every year, Shad uses a selection process to determine participants. Our selection process examines more than academics. We look for potential: the spark of leadership, a willingness to collaborate, and the courage to think differently.

Each year, with the support of our generous donors and partners, we provide up to $5 million in scholarships and fee assistance, ensuring that talented students from every background can access this life-changing experience.

The program fee covers a comprehensive 27-day live-in experience designed to maximize learning, personal growth, and connection. It includes the academic program, accommodations, meals, mentorship, and a wide range of enriching activities and experiences listed below.
The virtual campus covers a comprehensive 20-day digital experience to maximize learning, personal growth, and connection and includes a program kit of approximately 35 items, including hands-on activities, delivered to your home.

Oui ! Shad offre une aide financière pour couvrir la totalité ou une partie des frais de programme. Chaque année, nous accordons plus de 5 millions de dollars d'aide financière aux familles. Chaque demande comprend une section de contact avec les parents afin qu'ils puissent envisager les possibilités d'aide financière.

Les candidats sont évalués sur la base de plusieurs facteurs mettant en évidence leurs talents et contributions uniques. Des facteurs tels que l'excellence générale, l'engagement extrascolaire (bénévolat, travail à temps partiel, responsabilités familiales), la créativité, la réflexion et l'engagement à rendre le monde meilleur.
Les candidats doivent faire preuve d'excellence académique, mais il n'y a pas de moyenne limite pour postuler.
Non, nous n'exigeons pas de nomination de la part de l'école pour que l'étudiant puisse poser sa candidature.
Tous les candidats seront informés de leur statut (accepté, refusé) en février 2026. Les décisions relatives à l'aide financière seront communiquées en même temps.
