Hi, my name is Audrey Henderson! I am currently a grade 11 student at Timmins High and Vocational School, in Timmins, Ontario. I am proud to be Ojibwe from Mattagami First Nation. I am an active member of my schools Student Council and the senior editor of the yearbook. I have been dancing for about 13 years. My favourite styles are ballet and hip-hop. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, listening to music, and spending time with my friends!

Pourquoi avez-vous hâte de participer à Shad ? Qu'attendez-vous le plus avec impatience ?

I am excited and extremely grateful to be able to participate in Shad because it’s an opportunity for me to collaborate with students from across Canada who share the similar passions and interests. I’m especially looking forward to making new life-long friends and working hands-on with others. I’m also excited to participate in Shad because opportunities like this can be harder to access when you live in a smaller northern community, like Timmins.

Qu'est-ce qui éveille votre curiosité ou votre intérêt pour le STIAM et/ou l'entrepreneuriat ?

I’ve always been curious about how things work and how ideas can be turned into real-world solutions. Since I was young, I have enjoyed being able to apply what I learn in the classroom into real life.

Comment envisagez-vous votre avenir ?

I see myself pursuing a career in a STEM-related field where I can continue to learn, solve problems, and make a difference. While I’m still exploring the path I want to take, I hope to use the knowledge and skills I gain to make a positive and lasting impact on my community. I want to help address real-world challenges, inspire others to pursuer their goals, and contribute to creating opportunities for future generations!
