Parlez-nous un peu de vous.
My name is Abdullah Ewesesan, and I am a Grade 11 student at the University of Winnipeg Collegiate. I am originally from Nigeria, briefly lived in the United States, and have lived most of my life in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I have picked interest in chemistry, biology, and computer science because I enjoy learning how science and technology can solve real-world problems. These subjects have inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. As a Muslim, my faith and beliefs have driven my interest in advocacy. And as I continue to grow, I am working to promote people’s understanding about my religion and correct certain misconceptions. Outside of school, I enjoy playing soccer, gaming, meeting new people, and learning from different perspectives.

I am excited to meet new people, learn from experienced mentors, and work on real-world projects. I look forward to challenging myself, developing new skills, and gaining knowledge in areas that interest me, especially medicine and technology so that I can be part of those that solve real world challenges.
Qu'est-ce qui éveille votre curiosité ou votre intérêt pour le STIAM et/ou l'entrepreneuriat ?
My interest in STEAM comes from my passion for science and technology. I enjoy learning how biology, chemistry, and computer science can be used to solve problems and improve people’s lives. I am especially interested in how technology can be applied to healthcare, which is one reason I hope to pursue medicine in the future. With regards to entrepreneurship, I’m keeping my fingers crossed about any learning opportunities that could be of interest to me.
Comment envisagez-vous votre avenir ?
I plan to study software engineering as my first degree and thereafter pursue medicine. I am interested in exploring how technology can be used to improve healthcare and patient outcomes. Beyond academics, I hope to use my education and experiences to advocate for my faith, support Muslim communities, and make a positive impact in society.
