Q: What was the biggest takeaway from your Shad experience?

My biggest takeaway would be the confidence I have gained within my abilities. The concepts of the projects and the support from the other Shads, helped me to believe that I can meaningfully tackle challenging tasks. Q: At Shad we are leaders in social innovation, how do you plan to use #STEAM4Good?

I intend to use #STEAM4Good to improve my community by using my knowledge, particularly in science. I want to use everything I’ve learned to help others understand critical medical issues and make healthier decisions, whether that’s through planning awareness campaigns or volunteering.

To the incoming Shads, always consider keeping an open mind and staying curious. Indulge in collaboration and don’t be afraid to bring your ideas forward no matter what you think about it, though it must be appropriate. Also, don’t forget to let loose, have fun with everything, and make valuable connections.
