Q:
Tell us a bit about yourself
Hi, my name is Naja Ejesiak. I attended Shad York 2025 and had an unforgettable experience! I enjoy working in teams to solve challenges and bring ideas to life. Outside of academics, I love beading, swimming, and spending time with friends.
Q:
What motivates your interest in entrepreneurship?
I’m motivated by the idea that STEAM and entrepreneurship give us the tools to turn ideas into real solutions. I love that science and technology can help us understand the world, while innovation and entrepreneurship give us the chance to change it for the better. The possibility that we can create something to impact people’s lives inspires me!
Q:
What was the biggest takeaway from your Shad experience?
My biggest takeaway from Shad was the power of teamwork. Working with people from different backgrounds and perspectives taught me that the best solutions come when everyone shares their ideas and participate. I also realized that being open to new ideas and feedback is just as important as having your own ideas.
Q:
How do you plan to use #STEAM4Good?
I plan to use #STEAM4Good by trying to create solutions that don’t just solve technical problems, but ones that consider the social impact they have. Our DE project made me realize the importance sustainability, accessibility & innovation, I want to make sure that what I work on creates long-term positive change.
Q:
What lessons would you share with incoming Shads?
I would tell incoming Shads to stay open-minded and curious. Don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone, because that’s where you’ll probably grow the most. Don’t waste the time you get with your friends & peers! You’ll regret not talking to everyone & making the most of the time you got. And most importantly, enjoy the experience and have fun with it!
