Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.
Hello! My name is Natale Holt, and I’m a 17-year-old grade 11 student at Lloydminster Comprehensive High School. My hobbies include baking, reading, public speaking, and so much more! My favorite things in the world are my cats, and honestly just animals in general. School wise, I love Math, Science, English, Foods Studies, and most other classes, and I am looking forward to being able to spend more time focusing on these areas through this program (especially math and science)!
Q: Why do you want to participate in the Shad program/What are you most looking forward to?
I want to participate in this program because it genuinely seems like something I’d be interested in. I love math, science, reading, and the opportunity to do it while connecting with a new community sounds awesome! It’s also a great opportunity for me to learn more about Métis culture, seeing as I haven’t really been the most involved in the community. I look forward to the opportunity to learn and grow throughout this program!
Q: What motivates or sparks your curiosity in STEAM and/or entrepreneurship?
Honestly, STEAM is just a list of things I love. I love science, math, reading, learning, and so much more! I’ve been interested in these things my entire life, and the opportunity to dive deeper into these fields while opening up new opportunities for myself sounds great!
Q: How do you envision your future?
I would describe my view on the future as optimistic. I am interested in the medical field and see myself as hopefully working in it someday. I’ve always had an interest in math, biology, physics, and just everything related to the STEM area of education. I hope to have these things be a part of my future, and hope that the Shad program will help me reach my goals!
