Q: How does it feel to be named a Schulich Leader?

It feels like I’m dreaming! It is so incredible to be a part of such an amazing group of like-minded people who share the same goals as I do, and to go into university knowing I don’t have to worry about my finances. I can’t wait to meet my fellow Schulich Leaders!

Q: What motivates your passion for STEAM/Entrepreneurship?

I have seen STEAM and entrepreneurship work together in amazing ways that have made such a positive change. My passion for STEAM and entrepreneurship is driven by my desire to constantly improve the world around me. I have always been someone who enjoys the analytical nature of STEAM, so it’s only natural that I would go towards this path!

Q: At Shad we are leaders in social innovation, how do you plan to use #STEAM4Good?

Similar to my passion for STEAM, I believe that everyone pursuing a field, not just restricted to STEAM, should try and keep in mind the needs of our planet as a whole. I want to pursue technology that will improve the lives of as many people as possible. Even if I don’t know what tech I’ll end up pursuing, I have that goal to work towards.

Q: What lessons would you share with incoming Shads?

Don’t ever be afraid of “not fitting in” or not being able to make friends. I know this well as a chronic overthinker myself! You’ll find people who share the same goals and interests as you, there’s always someone out there!
