Tell us a little about yourself.  

My name is Alexandra Carlson I am a grade 11 student currently attending Bert Church Highschool in Airdrie, Alberta. I currently dedicate my time to a program called Rocky View Schools Leadership Academy. Where I was the Co-chair for the Middle School Leadership Conference we hosted. I hope to continue my journey in leadership by implementing my Metis Culture into the way I lead.

Why are you excited to participate in Shad? What are you most looking forward to?

The element that I am most excited for when it comes to SHAD is the chance to meet like-minded individuals and grow my network. I am excited for the opportunity to learn from my peers and participate in experiences that will last a lifetime.

What sparks your curiosity or interest in STEAM and/or entrepreneurship?

What sparks my curiosity utmost about STEAM and entrepreneurship is the potential to develop ideas and gain knowledge to help people in the future. The possibility of being able to solve real world problems and being a leader in my generation’s future growth is tremendously exciting.

How do you envision your future?

I envision my future as a strong leader—I see myself in a profession dedicated to elevating human well-being within the medical field. Living in a thriving metropolis where the revolutions I make matters. Ultimately, I see myself creating changes that inspire others to do the same.
