Tell us a little about yourself.  

My name is Adriene Soroka. I am an eleventh-grade student attending a francophone high school in Saskatoon, but I come from northern rural Saskatchewan. I love playing sports (specifically volleyball), dancing, and beading. My culture and my family are very important to me.

Why are you excited to participate in Shad? What are you most looking forward to?

I am excited for the opportunity to meet others from across the country and learn new things. I am eager to develop new connections and explore new paths that might aid me in the future.

What sparks your curiosity or interest in STEAM and/or entrepreneurship?

I am very interested in diving into aspects of the world that I don’t quite understand. I would like to integrate aspects of STEAM in my future career and use the knowledge I acquire to problem-solve and help others.

How do you envision your future?

I am planning to attend university to continue my education, and I hope to pursue volleyball after high school. After university I hope to further my education specifically in the field of firefighting.
