Haseeb Khawaja

Marketing Manager

Haseeb (he/him) is a seasoned program developer with over 10 years of experience in building international innovation programs for the leaders of tomorrow.

From creating over 500 youth startup founders, to helping over 4,000 Canadian youth develop skills in computer forensics, binary exploitation and coding, Haseeb has seen it all.

When he’s not developing programs, Haseeb manages the marketing and communications at The Daniels Corporation, Canada’s largest and preeminent builder and developer.

In the past, Haseeb managed the full cycle development and operations of over 15 of DMZ’s pre-incubator programs to engage over 6,000 entrepreneurs, working with over 30 community organizations and raising over $500,000 in sponsorship.

Haseeb has worked on multiple development projects that focused on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and environmental sustainability locally and internationally. Most recently, he traveled to Quito, Ecuador to work with over 30 under-served youth on creating their own businesses. He also volunteers weekly on Friday nights at SickKids Hospital.

Bianca Stagliano, BA, OCT, MT

Secondary teacher

Bianca (she/her) is a qualified secondary school teacher with almost ten years of experience working with children between the ages of 4-16. As a graduate of the TMU Childhood Studies program, Bianca uses a holistic approach, which ensures that a student’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional needs are met through experiential learning. Bianca holds a Masters of Teaching from the University of Toronto (OISE), where she researched the relationship between parental involvement and student achievement in Ontario schools. In addition to her teaching experience, Bianca has worked for Shad TMU since 2022. What she loves most about Shad, is the community that is built through students and staff across Canada. She is excited to create a program that utilizes downtown Toronto’s unique advantages and extensive network. Bianca’s dedication to teaching and program planning will help ensure that the Shad students have a great experience. Bianca looks forward to learning alongside the Shad students this summer!

 

Imran Ali, BSc

Coordinator, Client Services, Office of the Registrar – Toronto Metropolitan University

Imran (He/Him), a seasoned professional in higher education with over 9 years of expertise at Toronto Metropolitan University. In his role as the Coordinator of Client Services for the Office of the Registrar, he plays a pivotal role in supervising various registrar-related functions, such as admissions, enrolment, tuition/fees, and student financial assistance. Prior to this, Imran served as an SLC Assistant at the Student Learning Centre, where he efficiently managed day-to-day operations and events, overseeing a team of 30 student staff.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Imran is deeply committed to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive campus community. Currently, he holds the position of Co-Chair for the Muslim Employee Community Network, collaborating closely with the Office of the Vice-President Equity and Community Inclusion to lead the planning, initiatives, and programming of all ten employee equity networks.

Adding to his diverse interests, Imran is an avid enthusiast of photography, art,  basketball, and football. This is Imran’s second-year involvement with Shad TMU, where he previously served as the Program Manager. Leveraging his mentorship background and comprehensive knowledge of the TMU campus, community, and resources, Imran eagerly anticipates contributing to ensuring a memorable experience for all Shad participants this summer.
