Loan options:

Optional Financing for Families:

We know that paying program fees all at once can be challenging for some families. To help make this more accessible, Shad has partnered with Libro Credit Union to offer an optional loan program for families who wish to use it.

This loan is provided directly by Libro Credit Union and is completely optional.  Accepting or declining this financing option does not affect your child’s place in the program.

How the Loan Program Works:

Families who are accepted into the program may apply for a loan with the following features:

  • Minimum loan amount: $7,495
  • Additional borrowing: Up to $1,000 to support eligible travel costs
  • Interest rate: Fixed rate of 8% per annum
  • Repayment term: 12 months
  • Repayment responsibility: Loan repayments are made directly to Libro Credit Union

Final loan approval, documentation, and administration are the sole responsibility of Libro Credit Union and standard credit approval criteria apply.

Use of Loan Proceeds:

Loan funds are intended to support payment of program fees and, where applicable, eligible travel expenses associated with attendance at Shad2026.

Important to Know:

  • Accepting or declining this financing option does not affect a participant’s admission to the program.
  • If the loan option is used, program fees are non-refundable, even if a participant later withdraws or is unable to attend.
  • Shad does not receive any financial benefit from the loan and is not involved in repayment arrangements.
  • Families are encouraged to review the loan terms carefully and decide what works best for their situation.
  • Families may wish to seek independent financial advice before entering into a loan agreement.
