Director, National Program Initiatives

Jennifer Murphy

As Shad’s Director of National Program Initiatives, Jennifer drives the expansion of the month-long STEAM and entrepreneurship program across Canada and leads community partnerships, including a science career camp in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, developed with the Makigiaqta Inuit Training Corporation, Polar Knowledge Canada, and nonprofit partners.

Her experience as a teacher and Special Education Consultant shaped her expertise in Universal Design for Learning – one of the many reasons she admires Shad’s commitment to making transformative STEAM opportunities accessible to all youth.

Jennifer holds degrees in Life Science and Education from Queen’s University and a Master of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University, where her research examined the future of Ontario’s universities and pathways for system transformation. She has pursued continuing education at Columbia University and Harvard’s Graduate School of Education and contributes locally through the Waterloo Public Library Board and Skate Canada’s adaptive program.
