Mount Allison University

We are proud to introduce you to your host campus.

Founded in 1839, Mount Allison University is in Sackville, New Brunswick and has been ranked by Maclean’s Magazine as Canada’s TOP undergraduate university for 24 times, a record unmatched by any other Canadian institution.

Mount Allison University is a liberal arts and science institution, offering bachelor’s degrees in Arts, Science, Fine Arts, Commerce, Music and Aviation. Mount Allison has one of the best records of graduates awarded Rhodes Scholarships (per capita) in Canada, a total of 56.

Mount Allison is extremely excited to be hosting the Shad program once again this year. The institution’s central location on the Atlantic Coast gives participants the opportunity to discover all that Eastern Canada has to offer, while engaging in a full and exciting schedule of events, workshops and lectures.

Mount Allison acknowledges that we are located within the territory of Mi’kma’ki, the unceded, ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq. Our relationship and our privilege to live on this territory was agreed upon in the Peace and Friendship Treaties of 1752. Because of this treaty relationship it is to be acknowledged that we are all Treaty people and have a responsibility to respect this territory.
