Shad summer recap

More than 1000 students hopped on planes, trains and buses to get to their Shad campuses this summer. And the result? Resounding satisfaction from participants and parents alike. One Shad told us, “I feel like I have a new family of like-minded people who I love deeply and wish to have forever.”

Shad alum talk passions and finding their post-secondary path

One of the themes we hear most often from program graduates is how Shad builds their confidence for post-secondary. Hear from four alum about how Shad has impacted their dreams and pathways. 

NEW program offering for 2023

Applications are now OPEN with TWO program offerings: our traditional Shad experience, ShadOnCampus and for the third year, Shad will take its hands-on experience digitally with ShadAnywhere. Find your passions with a Shad program that suits your lifestyle.

NEW entrance scholarships for
Black and Indigenous Students

We launched new scholarships for Black and Indigenous youth. Shad strives for equity in underrepresented communities by increasing representation in our program and STEM pathways for the future. These scholarships are one way we are working towards that goal.

Shad's Northern Adventure

Last week we were in Cambridge Bay, NU participating in the Makiagiaqta STEM Careers Camp. We worked with youth from Nunavut who are interested in science and held a hands-on workshop and STEM activities.
 
We also stopped in Yellowknife to connect with Shad Alumni to share memories and think about future opportunities with Northern youth.
