Workshops, Seminars &
Place Explorations

Designing Fatigue-Free Classrooms

MacEwan University

Why do some classrooms make you feel energized while others make you tired and exhausted (and even put you to sleep….)? In this workshop, you’ll explore the science of fatigue and discover how lighting, sound, and design impact focus and wellbeing. Using a digital platform, you’ll redesign a virtual classroom to make it “fatigue-friendly.” By the end, you’ll have created your own digital model of a classroom that helps students feel more awake, comfortable, and ready to learn.

Design of Rocketry Avionics

Student Team for Alberta Rocketry Research

Through this presentation students will receive an introduction to design considerations and problems for electronic systems in high powered rocketry. By taking part in this seminar you will learn how you can tackle difficult problems and work through them with a team of talented individuals. You will also gain insight into a typically unseen yet critical part of sounding rocket development.
