The thrill of getting a cubicle of my own still fresh in my mind, it seems just yesterday that I started my eye-opening journey with Teradici. Each day is an energetic balance of work, food, learning, and, today, a volleyball game!
I walked into the office with a goal: to fix my script that should read a file and graph it, but wasn't quite there yet. A teammate who works as a Quality Engineer (who had brought homemade ice cream earlier) talked with me about her job, university, and Hello Kitty. That exemplifies the Teradici culture: open and helpful.
At lunch I played beach volleyball on a Teradici team for the first time. It was a very friendly competition and I'm excited to play again on Friday!
I emailed some questions to the Director of Silicon Engineering whom I met yesterday, and he actually came by to answer in person, which is easier and faster. That was a learning experience - if I'm ever in that situation, I'll do that too!
My first exposure to tech culture has been amazing. It's now a running joke with my parents that all I do at work is eat! From not really knowing what virtual desktops are to contributing scripts, I've learned so much at Teradici. The graph script is completely functional now, and I look forward to tomorrow!
