When you walk up to the third floor of a downtown office building, enter a modern, open office space littered with diagram-covered whiteboards and dedicated employees, you’ve walked into the volcano of creativity called Critical Mass.
“A Journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” - Lao Tzu
I’m journeying with three other SHADs, and today is the third step in the month-long journey in our project at Critical Mass. We were asked to come up with ideas for the great support centers of three company clients: At&t, GoDaddy, and Sunglass Hut. We aim to help customers find answers to common questions, obtain critical information, and provide the best user experience possible while keeping up with company goals.
Here are some thoughts of the SHADs I worked with:
“I get the same desk as [the User Experience Group Director], and I think that’s pretty cool.” - Andrea Zhang
“This isdefinitely not what I expected an office job to be like. Here, just like in SHAD, we are challenged to think outside the box and improve upon the end consumer’s life. I feel that I could consider working in such an environment for the future.” - Nicholas Pun
“The office really is amazing. I hope to work somewhere with this sort of atmosphere later in life” - Emily Zeng
Working at CM these three days, I have met some incredible people, worked hard at my own pace, and began to feel at home. This month is going to be an amazing journey!
