Meeting the President of SHAD. Lunch with an angel investor. A 2.5-hour bus ride.
My first day at Prolexion was certainly an unconventional one. When I left my house to go to the bus stop, I was pretty excited. After the 2.5-hour bus ride, understandably, my excitement decreased a bit, but by the end of the day, my excitement was two times - if not three times - higher than it was at the beginning.
Working as an intern is a new experience for me, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with. All of my colleagues, from the CEO down, have been incredibly kind and welcoming. They happily answer all of my questions and even encourage me to ask more. On the first day, the CEO said something on the lines of “it’s not only about what you do for us, it’s about what we do for you.” Since that day, I’ve always felt that all the employees genuinely want to help me and my SHAD colleague improve ourselves, which is something I’m truly grateful for.
Although I’ve only spent a couple days working for Prolexion, I’ve been completely blown away by the overall atmosphere of the company. As I start my second week, I truly am looking forward to what the rest of this month has in store for me.
