It all started off when we almost missed our flight, waiting for our Timmies of course. What can you say, we're typical Canadians. We arrived safely in St. John's Newfoundland to meet our second family at Memorial University, only to meet RDF (rain, drizzle and fog), the one thing we are to expect for the next month. Despite the cold, it's still first up for best host campus.
Today, the sun came out to greet us on our first official day. After breakfast, we had two morning lectures which, despite the awful 30 minute jetlag I was feeling, were very compeling. After lunch we were assigned our SHAD houses. We then designed and created a house flag and chant. After recreation and our official welcome dinner, which two VIP guests were invited to, we headed to explore MUN. We had a scavenger hunt around campus with our SHAD house and points were attributed for every group picture taken at said location. You might think okay, the day must me done by then, but think again, no free time is attributed at SHAD so enjoy every bit you can get. After not remembering anywhere I went around campus we headed to the lecture hall to present our bio tiles (picture below). Finaly snack time rolled around and it was time to get ready and go to bed, well, talk to my wonderful roomate and pretend to sleep.
