I work as an intern on the Product Support Team at Millennium Research Group in downtown Toronto. I didn’t know what to expect seeing as I had little idea of what a real workplace environment felt like prior to this. Everything feels so different in the city. I travel from the suburbs, so it takes me just over an hour with a bus and a train to get there every morning. But as soon as I step out of that subway platform, the excitement kicks in.
Millennium Research Group is a top market research firm in the industry that publishes reports on market and economic trends related to medical devices. The best part of being there is that I get to be around extremely enthusiastic and supportive people who love their work; just today we had a huge meeting that involved video conferencing with offices around the world, including India and USA. I also get to learn about how international market and economic trends impact the field of medical technology. This position is particularly interesting to me because I want to study economics, and I love science. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest of August!
