The first week of my internship with blueRover has been quite a new experience. When I first arrived, I was introduced to the fascinating organization of start-up tech companies in a location now known as one of Canada’s top “Startup Cities.” All of my colleagues at blueRover have been extremely welcoming and I feel as though I’ve been here for much longer than a week.
This week, I began working on my main task, which is to create a database or user documentation of the technology components that are used in manufacturing the finished products, such as the blueRover SafeFood sensors. I’ve mostly been working with the Director of SafeFood Sales, but I’ve also spent time with the Chief Financial Officer & VP of Corporate Services, from whom I learned a number of things about finances.
Today, I visited an inventory site in Guelph with two of my supervisors. This new insight into the intricate inventory management system of businesses was definitely worth the trip there.
I am truly grateful for this opportunity, which has sparked a greater interest in technology in myself. Even from my short time here, I’m extremely impressed by blueRover’s rapidly developing technology systems and I look forward to the rest of my time here!
