The past month at Xerox has be unlike any other. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Chopra and the rest of his team on the New 3D Materials Project. I expected that at my internship, I would be watching someone run experiments, write up lab reports, and analyze data all day. Much to my surprise, I was very active in the lab; I was running my own experiments, collecting data, and sharing my own information with the team.
In just a short amount of time, I learned so much at XRCC; not just about 3D Printing but Chemistry and what working life is like. Through my day to day activities in the lab I was putting together samples that had to be passed through other scientists for testing, which allowed me to realize that I had to rely on others and understand timelines.
I want to thank my supervisor and the rest of his lab, the New 3D Materials Team, and all the rest of XRCC Staff and Students for making my short month with them the best internship I could have asked for.
