Are you from Saskatchewan? You can now earn school credit for completing the SHAD program!
Students may now receive Special Project Credit from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education for participating in SHAD. A Special Project is a student-initiated learning opportunity outside the classroom that can be used to fulfill elective requirements for graduation (Special Project 10, 20 and 30 credits).
SHAD shares the Government of Saskatchewan’s goal to encourage students to initiate learning in areas of interest or passion outside of school. Our month-long immersive learning experience will make for an excellent Special Projects Proposal and a lifelong memory.
In order to be eligible to receive credit, a student must:
Gain acceptance to and fully complete the 4-week long SHAD program
Adhere to the Ministry of Education Special Project Credit Policy and their school division’s Special Project Administrative Procedure
Submit and gain approval by their school principal for their Special Projects Proposal prior to the start of their SHAD experience
