Internships are not guaranteed - there are a limited number of paid opportunities available
Internships are usually in your home city or within reasonable commuting distance. Internships are not based in the city where you will attend SHAD
Neither the employer nor SHAD provides accommodations or daily transportation during the internship
Complete terms of employment including hours of work each day are determined by each individual employer
If you are offered and accept an internship position, you are making a commitment for the dates agreed upon with the organization. You will also be required to provide a signed waiver and submit a report on your experiences during the internship
When interested SHADs have submitted their applications for the internship program, SHAD coordinates with the hiring organizations and companies to shortlist candidates. We ask you not to interact directly with those organizations unless you have been specifically advised by SHAD to do so.
Organizations contact students directly to arrange interviews. Some interviews can begin in mid-March. If accepted, students may receive confirmation of their placement by June
