SHAD is a registered charity dedicated to helping exceptional students envision their full potential as tomorrow's leaders and change makers. As a charitable organization, SHAD relies on individual, private sector companies, foundation and government donations to ensure the viability of the program by raising $2 million annually to support its programs.
Donors know that SHAD inspires excellence in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) disciplines while spurring a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship. Through SHAD, remarkable youth recognize, harness and strengthen their talents and gain the skills and attributes needed to make positive personal and professional contributions. These are the change makers and innovators of the future, and an investment in top high school students is an investment in future prosperity for Canada and beyond.
Thanks to the generosity of a diverse group of funders, SHAD is able to plan with confidence and refine, enhance and expand programs and services to provide an unequalled program with Uncommon Purpose. It is possible to make a difference, and SHAD welcomes supporters who are doing just that.
Donations to SHAD can be made by mail, phone, or online; whichever is more convenient for you.
All monetary donations are tax deductible. NEW: Donors who have not made a charitable donation in the past 5 years may qualify for the First Time Donor Super credit. This credit was announced by the Federal Government in March 2013 and can increase your allowable tax credit by 25%
