Interested in attending Shad Valley? The program is designed for senior high school students currently completing Grade 10, 11 or 12 (Quebec secondaire IV, V or CEGEP I, or the international equivalent). The selection process is competitive.

We are looking for students who are in excellent academic standing, are creative, have demonstrated initiative and drive, and have good interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.

All students are welcome to apply, and there is no limit to the number of students admitted to the program from any school, school board, or region.

There are two application intake dates (December 9, 2009 and January 20, 2010). Please note that more placements are usually awarded to qualified applicants who submit their materials by the December date. We advise you to apply early.

We ask you to complete an application form to determine if you are compatible with the program. The application is designed to highlight your involvement in:

  • Community and/or school
  • Volunteer work
  • Sports and the arts (e.g. music, drama, creative writing, visual arts, dance)

We're looking forward to hearing from you!
